This blog is actually somewhat of a “revival” of a blog that I had previously started in 2008. Somehow or another (to this day I’m still not sure what or why), I tripped some kind of filter, and without warning, without an email or any type of advance notice, a certain blogging service (which shall remain nameless) completely deleted my blog…it was literally “zapped” out of existence. The blog had over 60 posts of original content, but somehow I had tripped the wrong triggers, and the blog was subsequently annihilated by Nameless Blogging Service. Because I didn’t own the domain, I really couldn’t do anything about it. Needless to say, this was a bummer.
I thought about appealing to Nameless Blogging Service to reinstate my blog, but it would have been faster to walk from here to China than to go through that process. So, I basically decided to purchase this domain, take all of the old posts from that blog (thank God for backups), and put them on this WordPress blog instead.
So now that I’ve given you a little background on the what, where, why, when, and how of this blog, the posts you’ll be reading will be a mixture of some of the posts from the old blog, along with some new things (as the ideas come to me). Some of the information from the old posts is outdated, so I will do my best to use my discretion in order to edit them and make them a little more “timeless”, if you will. Other old posts were not time-sensitive, which makes my job now a lot easier–it will be more of a copy-paste job on those.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I have grown a LOT as a trader since the first days of that old blog. I’ve learned some big (and many times painful) lessons over the years, many of which involved money leaving my trading account. At the end of the day, whether the trade goes well or it craps out, there’s always something to learn, tweak and adjust for the next time. It takes lots of time, patience and study in order to develop a trading methodology that works for you. I have edited some of the old posts as well to reflect my change in “trading philosophy” and methodology over the years.
Ultimately, I want this blog to be a place where the newcomer to penny stocks can get a solid education regarding the world of penny stock trading, and hopefully I can give the veteran trader a thing or two to chew on as well. Hope you enjoy it.
